"Stop waiting and be free. Of me- put me deep inside you and then go out in the world and live. Love the world and yourself in it, move through it offers no resistance, as though the world is your natural element." -The Time Traveler's Wife

Teenagers are so wrapped up in their lives, including I. We get so... selfish at times, and forget everything else. Like the earthquake in Haiti about a month ago, or homeless people dying in this weather. And what we also don't think about is our health.

In America, us, teenagers, don't really care about what's inside us, or look deeper in our health. Some of us have medical problems, some of us don't. But what I'm trying to say is: as you grow older, your diet right now will be a reouccuring theme. Don't believe me? Well, I've learned in the past few weeks that we're consuming too much of what we're supposed to eat.
What about Haiti? They don't have as much food as us. Be fortunate for what you have, for what we have.

Fast food is one of our favorite, or at least mine. But what do you not see is how many calories, sodium, and cholestorol you're intaking. You're probably thinking who cares at the moment. But in twenty years, you might you become obese. Right now, people like you and I are young. Why effect our lives now? Junk food is so "yummy" but it makes us crave more. Also, it makes us more greedy. More greedy as in wanting more. When Coca-Cola started, they sold 6 oz bottles. And now, the average American consumes 24 oz. bottles.
Another item is burgers. They were the size of a muffin now, back then. Rent the movie, "SuperSize Me." It'll prove something.

Look at us. Look at what we're eating! It's not safe, nor healthy. Do you get it? We are one of the most obese countries in this world. Why add us to the population of those in the future? Why choose diet pills or pay back for what we've done in years? Live your life now, a healthy one.
...Or risk it.

I've been influenced by my health teacher. I hope people will understand in this short article that changing our unhealthy ways will be the best.
