Review of 'I Can't Keep Prioritizing You'
The writing titled “I Can’t Keep Prioritizing You,” written by “Erin”, talks about a person that uses her for an emotional outlet. Her writing left me feeling upset. I agree with how the girl felt about the person, or “friend”, who was taking advantage of her. When the passage says, ”You used to share things on Google drive, dropping little hints about what was happening in your life,” that part made me feel like the person was selfish in a way and can’t be direct and take risks by dealing with things by herself. Also when the story says, ”you ran off, sniffling into your hand,” it made me think that the person expected the writer to chase after her and comfort her, but the writer didn’t because she needed to focus on herself. Overall, I think the selection was written well and also illustrates that we should take people’s feelings into consideration and give others a chance to talk and not to be selfish.
