Life Lessons from OCD
When I read “Life Lessons from OCD,” I was amazed by the things that Erin said. Everything she was describing was exactly like my life. In the article she says how her biggest fear is her house burning down and fire drills. Some nights I lie awake praying to God that my house doesn’t burn down and then when I think about what could happen to my family and my things I kinda freak out about it. Erin also says that she worries about the doors being unlocked and people getting into the house. When I babysit my sisters, I make sure that all the doors and windows are locked.
I am so glad that I got to read this because she showed me that I am not the only one who is like this. My entire life, I always thought that there was something wrong with me because I had these irrational fears, but since reading this I feel a lot better about my OCD.
