Feedback on Why Doesn't the Mountain Crumble

The poem is only a haiku, but there is something thoughtful about it. The mountain is not alive, yet the way the author, Tara Troiano, personifies it, the reader can almost relate to it, even if it is not a living thing. 

Human beings grow weary under the scrutiny of others. Aren't mountains the same? The author also describes it as "straight spined," the way people are when they feel the need to protect themselves. The title asks why the mountain does not crumble which relates on it's own created features.
