A Child at a Funeral
I found Claudia D.'s article "At Child Funeral" amusing. Her poem reminded me when I was younger at my grandmothers' funeral. I was only 3 years old, and I didn't know much of what was going on. Everyone around me cried, and comforted each other, a part of me wondered why grandma layed in this big grey bed, I didn't understand why she was put underground. In Claudia's poem the little girl wondered about taking pictures also curious, like myself. I remembered I walked around hugging my loved ones, trying to stop the tears dripping from thier eyes. Her poem made me have a instant flashback, why her? Why my Grandma? Thank you Claudia for this beautiful poem, it warmed my heart.
