Seventeen
In Teen Ink's February Issue, there was a short story by Julienne M. called "Seventeen." I can relate to Julienne wholeheartedly when she talks about being afraid to love. When I was little, I too dreamed about my Prince Charming who would take me away from all of my problems. However, you start to get older and start losing hope on your Prince Charming. High School is about finding yourself because in the process you lose yourself. You have to learn to love yourself before you even think of loving someone else. Sometimes I feel like I let my childhood self down for losing hope in my dream. Thank you, Julienne for writing such a deep and personal story that many can relate to.
