Feedback on "What Remains"
“What Remains” by Joanna M. tells the story of a young girl and her precious friendships. Told from the eyes of the sand below them, we learn the happiness of the girl’s memorable beach days. However, as old friendships are washed away by time, new ones emerge to soften the pain. Stronger, she cherishes the memories of the past as she smiles toward her awaiting future.
With skillfully placed alliteration and eloquent descriptions, I breathed a sigh of awe as the last words of “What Remains” rolled off my tongue. This short tale of spirited friendship astounded me with its deep and engaging lesson. Readers learn that nothing in life is guaranteed, that not even the best of friendships are bound to last. Through this loss however, we will learn to endure and move on while keeping the past to treasure always.
