When the Big Blue Monster Rises
I took one good look at the cover of March's magazine and was immeadiately intrigued. I was flipping through the pages and instead of doing fiction, I thought I'd give feedback on poetry. I was looking trying to find the right one and I saw it. "Big Blue Monster" by Aidyn Levin. This poem was short but left a mark on me. Instead of the monster being real, I took it as a metaphorical monster. The ones that stay inside, so eager to attack at any moment. This poem captures that.
The line that really interested me was "Slithering back, only to rise up again." I feel as if this line is exactly like the metaphorical monster. You can be anywhere when it strikes you. This poem was short but so great. I enjoyed that so much.
