Idiotic Questions
I found "Idiotic Questions" very moving. It made me open my eyes and wonder if I ever offended someone. Her article was about her conscience fighting whether or not she should be offended when people ask her about her race. In the article she describes the awkwardness she feels when people ask her about her race. "Unfortunately it is weird, I do take offense. You shouldn't need me to tell you that if you think a question will hurt my feelings, you probably shouldn’t ask". The author also struggles about the idea if she takes pride in her race and feels she should show it more. Thank you, this story made me realize that we need to be careful on what we say to each other.
