Lisp by Allyssa Herlein
The poem, "Lisp", by Allyssa Herlein, caught my eye with the illustration by Erika Moore. Not only was the drawing amazing, but so was the peom. After reading it, I felt like I could relate to this poem and the way she describes how she feels. I don't have a lisp but I do have certain flaws that make me feel like others will judge and look down on me; like Herlein explains in the quote,"They fear oddity...". I found Allyssa's Herlein's poem extremely moving. Thank you Allyssa Herlein for this poem that surely did steal my heart.
