Feedback on Magnificent Yellow
“Magnificent Yellow by Melinda Liu is about the death of her brother Tony. This piece was about Melinda’s experience with dealing with the information that her Tony had cancer and how she wished she had spent more time with him. She questioned what she would do without him and although this piece is about something so tragic, it was beautifully written and brought tears to my eyes.
I was able to relate to this piece in the sense that I am close to my siblings and it made me appreciate them even more. According to “Magnificent Yellow” by Melinda Liu, “Sadly, most of us need to endure a traumatizing ordeal before we realize what our priorities should be.” This piece really opened my eyes and made me realize what I have and I’m grateful for that. Overall, this devastating piece has an extremely important message that everyone should read.
