To Our Collective Body
I found Daisy Blossom Dotys' article "To Our Collective Body" to be remarkably inspirational. Body shaming is a big deal in our society today. Girls, boys, men, or women should be able to walk confident no matter whether they are big, small, fat, skinny, etc... I really love how she is so self assured in herself and writing this for girls like you and me. She says, "This is for me now. This is for a younger me. This is for and older me. This is for you. This is for us. This is for our bodies. This is for our minds. This is for our future romantic interests... This is to remind us we are beautiful... you're beautiful... you deserve to feel good about yourself... Because you are just as worthy." I just want to take a moment and say thank you Daisy! Thank you for sharing your thoughts; as well as inspiring and motivating others to feel great about themselves!
