I couldn't imagine losing my soul-mate, but I have undergone similar hardships as has "Allison." Although heroin was the catalyst for "Allison's" grievance, the feelings of losing a loved one is the same; thus, I can relate to "Allison's" agony as I  have had to give the last good-bye to my grandparents which were more significant than the meaning of the word-they were my friends, councilors, and doctor.

Anyway, it is imperative for "Allison" to continue on with her life. I know it won't be easy, but it is possible. And I would encourage "Allison" to keep on sharing her story and lobby for drug-prevention. You never know what might happen. Perhaps someone is in the same position she was once in and her intervantion could be life changing beacuse as she stated: "Heroin not only harms the addicts, but it has a huge effect on their family and friends."
