Short Story Review: Trance
A big round of applause for Aleena Bright for her short fictional story Trance. I enjoyed reading her short story because of all the wonderful details she put in. Her description of her characters gave me a mental picture of the whole scene. The way she developed them from beginning to the end was marvelous because I can decipher what personality they have. The words she uses creates beautifully the tone and mood she wanted to set. For example, when she wrote, "My knee caps are turning to mush and with a simple flick of her finger, I am following her into the merciless dark evening," I can picture a man transfixed by a lovely woman and him following her without question. I can predict that something unexpected or suspenseful will occur from this sentence which makes me want to keep reading. I felt like I was reading the prologue to an award winning vampire book. Thank you Aleena for sharing the beautiful piece of literature you composed.
