Grandfather Knows Best?
The article, "Grandfather Knows Best?" brilliantly illustrates the frustration that comes from elders insisting they know better, even if their views are those that are highly debatable. It also raises an issue with old-fashioned, conservatives teaching their inhumane lessons to their children and grandchildren. Topics such as homosexuality and abortion are constantly slandered by older citizens who figure, "because I was taught to think this way, it must be the right opinion!"
While the article clearly states it's fine to disagree with views you strongly oppose, it also brings up a valid and key point: it's up to our generation to form their own opinions and, hopefully, equality will be prevalent and old-fashioned ideas will be put out to pasture.
