Losing Mom
"Losing Mom," written by Caryn Lee, caught my attention as I looked through Teen Ink. Caryn was living her fourteen years without her biological mom was terrible enough; however, she lost her forever because of an accident. I've been living without my mom for five years, and it was killing me everyday during that hard time. I saw other kids hangout with their family; I see them gather together every time the holiday comes, but i was alone with no one else that love me. Moreover, Caryn doesn't hate her mom for leaving, but she loves her with her whole-fully heart. "She chose life for me, and now I'll live the life she never did", Caryn shows me how strong she is. She lets me know that a person should always look up no matter what the situation is. And for me, I admire her because she live with pain when she's only fourteenth. I know someday Caryn will become a successful girl with a loving heart.
