“Spring Break with Grandma” by Marisa Shira is a story everyone can relate to. I mean who doesn’t have that one insanely old relative or friend that seems as if they’ll just collapse at any moment?
The story had a surprisingly sensitive and sweet ending and the rest was laced with emotion as well. I ended up feeling sorry for her poor old grandmother and I think Marisa did a good job adding feeling to a nonfiction story.
Over all it was a sweet story and I congratulate the author who definitely deserved to be published. I look forward to seeing more of her stories in the future.
