"Taking Back Control' Feedback
In “Taking Back Control” Cara, the author tells us how getting raped changed her and how she overcame it. I think it was very well written piece. I agree with her point about the rape taking over her life, and how you don’t chose to be raped. I respect her and how she overcame all the emotions she had about it then and a couple years later.
I do think she shouldn’t have waited to tell anyone. She should have told someone, or gone to the police as soon as she could. Maybe, if she didn’t things would have turned out differently. I understand how scared, terrified, and even mad she would be. I can’t even imagine what the situation would be like. Cara is a very brave and lucky girl. I don’t know what I would have done if I was in her shoes.
