Scarlet
I enjoyed the poem Scarlet very much, what with the vivid descriptions. The way Claire Kennedy, described something as simple as the color scarlet made me think of the topic much more in a deeper way. My favorite lines were "scarlet heart pounding" and "scarlet blood running." It showed me that the color scarlet can be somewhat important to everyone at well, for it represents the very thing we need the most. I'm not sure what this poem was talking about, but to me I think that it tells the reader how age can get to a person and affect their appearance. In the end I felt that the way Claire interpreted such a simple color was truly unique.
