My Only Wish MAG
“My Only Wish” is a poem about the author’s hope that her father returns home soon from a foreign land and is kept safe while he’s there. I can see where Melissa is coming from. I am a cadet at a military academy and I too wish that all our troops could come home. I loved the poem and hope that Melissa keeps writing.
The April issue is the first Teen Ink I ever read, and this poem is the first to touch my heart in a new way. Anyone who is patriotic like me will love the poem and I hope that everyone is still supporting our troops.
