My Green Pillow MAG
I could relate to “My Green Pillow” by Mary from New Orleans. Her story is a perfect example of how getting out of your comfort zone has its benefits. Mary explains her nerve-racking experience of going to a camp “1500 miles away from home, alone.” Nearly 12 years ago, I joined a youth group despite my social anxiety. However, the friends I made in the group became my second family. From attending camp to flying out of the country and enjoying the cool breezes in Cancun, Mexico, I could have never done it if I didn’t get out of my bubble. Thank you, Mary, for sharing your story. I hope it inspires others to see that getting out of your comfort zone really has its benefits.
