Lake Conversation

The writing titled “Lake Conversation”, written by Haley W, talks about being on the phone by the lake. Her writing left me feeling satisfied and outdoorsy. I love how descriptive she is about the lake and weather. “Even though it was below freezing, the lake was busy. Children in their marshmallow coats played along the frozen waterfront. Runners and their dogs dotted the dirt path. Older couples sat beneath the snow-covered gazebos, their travel coffee mugs steaming.” I can relate to what she’s saying about being nervous to call her crush. “I pulled out my earphones in one swift jerk and dialed your number. The phone rang six times, and my muscles began to relax. Maybe you wouldn’t pick up. Maybe you This would be just enough to appease the pit and move on.” It’s written very well, and it’s so relatable it hurts. Any teenager would relate to this article. Well done, Haley.
