Looking in the Mirror
I wholeheartedly agree with Sophia Picozzi in her article "Looking in the Mirror". I agree that we should teach today's kids about racial socialization and teach them that they are equal to everyone else. I believe that it's the parents fault for why kids become racist because they don't teach them right. Sophia states that parents should "talk to their kids directly about skin color and race". Studies showed that children start perceiving racial differences starting at a very young age. Thank you, Sophia for bringing attention to a problem that still goes on today.
