The writing titled “A Letter to My Middle-School Self,” written by Patience K., talks about regretting your younger self. Her writing left me feeling slightly confused. I honestly thought the article was going to take a different approach because of how in the beginning the author talked about “dragging your half-conscious body out of a Lil Pump concert.” I also found it to be a tad hypocritical that the author was bashing herself on liking things that were seen as edgy at the time, and then said she “1) cut off all your hair, 2) dumped a bottle of black dye on it, and 3) pierced your nose,” all of which are considered edgy today. But hey, at least she listens to Lil Pump. I do believe that the author did a great job though. The article seems pretty well written, the author makes the reader understand what she used to be like in middle-school, how she changed from then, and I found how she talked to her old self in the third-person was pretty interesting. I give it a 7.5 out of 10.
