Why should I care
If my thoughts
My hard work
My ideas
Turn to dust
In front of you
You don’t notice
Anything
But a bunch of sand dust
At your feet
You’ve sandpapered it to the tips
And now it looks like nothing
As hard as I try
You see nothing
Why I should I try
Then
When my thoughts blow away
at the lightest touch of your breath
