This is a submission to the Love Story Contest. I decided to include a heart-shaped ornament--a winter holiday decoration--to represent the boy's love. It 'flutters' like his heart to the ground, which is in turn crushed by the girl. I chose to write a one sentence story with a short but dramatic storyline. The boy is symbolic of the mysterious, secret lover who "looks from above", and the girl is the ruthless heartbreaker. This was partly inspired by my interest in Shakespeare's works, especially the play Romeo and Juliet.
