The sport called tennis is very odd. People tend to make fun of others when they hear they play tennis. They claim it to be a “rich-person sport” because they see how people dress in formal attire to huge matches. Yet you don’t see kids dressing the same way in high school or college. You don’t get to hear the silence in grade school when kids will talk badly about their enemies. They make signs and noises when their opponent makes a mistake.

You see the anger tennis brings to a person of all ages. Players, that I have seen, will smash their racquet and continue when it is already not usable. This will give the opponent a point and the player a warning for smashing the racquet. There have been players who will have their moments and act as if nothing happened. For example, Nick Kyrigos, a professional tennis player from Australia, threw his water bottle at the chairman during a match. Claiming it had slipped out of his hands and pretended it was nothing.

Overall the sport is fun to play and exciting to attend a match and watch some of the best players in the world, even college players who are at high levels in the sport. People also think when they start playing tennis it seems easy but it is not. At first, I broke windows and put dents in cars from hitting the ball, literally, out of the court. I had the hardest time learning the techniques until it took me several years. Even professional players would make the same mistake in matches. Not everyone is perfect, but they can be great. It is a great sport for cardio and is common that elderly people to play tennis to get cardio in. There are similar versions of tennis such as ping-pong, pickleball, and mini-tennis.

Tennis can also be a dangerous sport at times. People will think they are star players and jump over the net until they clip their foot and fall. Sometimes they can play it off but other times can hurt their body and their game. I also had times when I hit myself with my racquet. I have no idea how but I can be slow sometimes and not pay attention. Most professionals have good sportsmanship so when the opponent might hit them with the ball, they tend to have a good attitude and character in their response.

There has been times when the top tennis players have thrown “fits” on court. Players like Rafa Nadal and Novak Djokvic have been recorded by people’s phones of smashing their racquets. The face on Novak shows aggression and it is scary. He shows nothing but fear towards his opponent.

There is also times when the crowd will get involved. Players tend to make a sound when they exhale (breathing). It can be very loud and can be funny. There was one match that was televised and the crown was mocking the players by moaning. Very disrespectful but the player came out and execute the task. Sometimes it sounds like children screaming at times when it gets intense. Other times, the crowd have asked players if they would marry them, while sadly getting rejected. When others try and run on the court with their crazy clothes on. Meanwhile there will be times when children will have the chance to play against players but sometimes they show no mercy on them.
