American Privilege
Voting is a right and responsibility. People can vote for whoever they choose, that’s the enjoyable part. It is strictly your opinion and no else has a say. People can vote for whoever they want to from fictional characters to celebrities. The reason why we can do that is because a lot of people fought in wars so we can be free.
I don’t think I have ever voted for anything political in my life. I could go the next 50 years in my life and not vote, though that most likely won’t happen. People fought wars and risked their lives for us just to have the right to vote or not to vote, and rights in general. Even though voting is a choice, I would still encourage people to do it so we can all participate together.
People in other countries would love to have the opportunity to vote, but they can’t due to the system of government they live in. Voting is a privilege everyone in the world can’t obtain. I think Americans take that for granted and they could rethink the way they participate in government.
Everyone should be given the right to vote all around the world. We are given that right from birth if you are born in America, and I think everybody should exercise their right. Even though I believe you should vote, I also believe that everybody is different. Everyone has different preferences with everything from religion, politics, and even sexuality. That’s fine because we live in a free country. That is what it is like living in America. Having opportunities to do things such as choose who we marry, choose what job we want, and also choose how we want to live our own lives. The majority of the time if we are smart with how we manage our lives, we can be successful in this country. That’s why I believe that we the people should choose what we want and not want to do.
