lost memory
I was numb. I couldn’t move and I couldn’t feel anything. I could make out some light but nothing else. Were my eyes open or closed? I’m not sure. I couldn’t hear either other than a faint humming. I felt like I was lying on something hard but I couldn’t be sure. Am I dead? Just as I start to think I’m dead I jolt upwards with a loud gasp. Well guess I’m not dead. After a second my eyesight goes back to normal and I’m finally able to see where I am. I’m in a dump. Like an actual dump. All I can see is piles and piles of trash along with other things people threw out. I also see a sign that says this is the North Carolina dump. Hmm that’s strange since I live in Pennsylvania! What has happened to me? Why am I here? Is my family alright? I wonder all these things until I hear a noise.
“Hey are you alright?” Asks a deep voice
I look around until I see a guy about my age standing behind me
“Ha-ha oh yea I’m just perfect.” I say sarcastically, “ No I’m not alright! Does it look like im alright?”
“Well no but…..” He starts to say
“But what?” I interrupted
“You know I’m actually not sure but anyway, what’s wrong?” He asks
“Oh I don’t know”, I start,” Maybe it’s the fact that I don’t know where I am, or that I don’t know how I got here, or maybe that some strange guy is acting like a therapist.”
“Oh well I can help.” He replies
“Ok” I say
“We’re in a dump.” He calmly answers.
“You’re kidding me right?” I ask
“ Nope look at that pile of trash over there.” He says while laughing and pointing at a pile of trash.
“Ok well since you’ve been no help can I borrow your phone if you have one?” I ask nicely
“You don’t need a phone.” He replies
Ok that does it. I didn’t think I could possibly flip out any more than I already have but I guess anything is possible. After I release the breath I didn’t know I was holding I scream. I scream as loud as I possibly can. Obviously it’s pretty loud seeing as that strange guy flinches a bit. Oh yea he’s still here. After I realize that he’s still here I walk up to him and slap him as hard as I can across the face.
“OW!” He says holding his cheek, “What was that for?”
“Oh I just don’t like your shirt.” I reply back laughing.
As I’m laughing I notice that he is just staring at me.
“Seriously?” He questions
“Oh no you’ve just been zero help and I also find you quite annoying.” I smile back.
“Are you always this rude?” He asks
“Nope I’m only mean to people I don’t like.” I say
“Well if I were you I would start being nicer to me.” He says while smirking
“And why is that?” I ask
“Because I know what happened to you,” He simply states
And then he vanishes.
