The More The Merrier (A Holly Jolly Holliday Gone Wrong)
One brisk winters day a well-known businessman named Mr. Holly J. Noel was taking a sleigh ride home when..."BANG"! ...(people screaming)
(Horse neighs) (hoofs click) (carriage wheels rattling)
(News static) (tv crackling) (newscaster speaks) "...murdered (News static)...gunshot (tv crackling) ... Mr. Holly J. Noel (News static) ... murderer unknown (Tv crackling) ... police".
(Mr.Noel's wife, Merry Noel at the Police Headquarters) (Merry Noel speaks now) "...but my husband has been murdered. isn't that more important than a simple-minded theft?" (Head Detective Ginger B. Mann speaks now) "I'm sorry m'lady but we have to deal with what is given to us first no matter how horrible the crime that comes after it is". (Merry Noel speaks) "But my husbands been murdered!" (From a distance her friend Ms.Elle Toe) " Oh, Darling I heard the horrid news about your husband I am deeply sorry".
[That night] (Merry Noel walks up the stairs) (stairs creek) (Merry Noel yawns and stretches) (opens the bedroom door) (merry Noel speaks now) "what a great relief it is to get to bed" (bed creeks as she gets into it) (puts candle on nightstand)
(Stairs creek) (Bedroom door creeks open) (Screaming) ( flames crackling) (Fast footsteps pounding on floor)
(News static) (tv crackling) (newscaster speaks) "...murdered (News static)...fire (tv crackling) ...(tv shuts off)
(Indistinct chatter) (Chester Nut Merry Noel's nephew speaks now) "who was slain last night?"(Rudolf R. Deer speaks now) "I'm unsure, good sir."
(Door opens and closes) (door locks) ( Chester Nut slowly, tiredly slides down the back of the door) (Chester Nut lets out a frustrated sigh)(Chester Nut speaks in a tired and frustrated way now) "Today was such a strenuous day!" "But, I am satisfied that none of my comrades and acquaintances discorded I've committed dark deeds."
[Two weeks later] (religious leader speaks now) "Today we mourn the tragic suicide of a Mr. Chester Nut who was found dead this morning at 12 am".
Narrator: Or was it murder?
(Suspenseful music)
