I can't drown my demons; they know how to swim.

It happened. It felt just like all the books said it would. It felt like there was fireworks exploding all around, everywhere. When I touched his hand, I couldn’t help but hide my face in my hair. I couldn’t help but let a smile come out. I saw his eyes. They were a pretty blue.

I felt so happy, and I didn’t know why. It was like when I was a child, and I saw a something that I wanted. It was the feeling of being a kid, with a small crush, yet it was so much better in a way. It was like I was just barely starting to feel happiness, and this whole feel was so new to me, and was so intense.

The happiness stopped short. I felt a wave of anxiety. What if he doesn’t like me? His fingers that were still touching mine, as he held onto the book, waiting for me to take it, they might already have someone else’s hand to hold. But that was okay. This moment was perfect.
