The Future
“Hey Ray, have you ever thought about the future?” Pat asked.
“Not really, why?”
“Just wonderin’ where we’ll be in the future.”
“Pat, your weird. Why would you even care? Me, I just want to live life and not care about the future right now.” she explained.
“Ray, do you think we might end up together.” Ray stared into Pat’s eyes, he had such blue and amazing eyes. She never noticed before.
“I don’t know. I guess we could, never thought about it.”
“How long have we been friends?” Pat asked.
“Don’t know, 8 years?” It started raining, while they were sitting on Ray’s roof. That’s when he took Ray’s hand into his and asked her THE question.
“Will you go out with me?” And through the rain, he looked into her eyes and kissed her.
“Well, I guess I have to think about the future now.” Ray said laughing.

I don't need a rose. I want a daisy you picked for my hair. I don't want some fancy box of chocolate. I want a pink frosting cookie you made just for me. Lets skip the upscale restaraunt and have a picnic in the park.
