Two Lost Brothers
They are the only ones who know me. I am the only one that sees them. Two lost brothers with no home and family to fall back on. Two who don’t belong anywhere but lost. Two bored brothers betrayed once before. From the street, you pass by them, but I stop and wonder why.
Their reasoning kept hidden. They spoke to me about the mishap. They grew up beaten and mistreated, with no one around to love but each other, violence and despair pull the last straw. This is why they weep.
I never forgot their reason for leaving, they slouch like old men in lawn chairs, with trust in one another. Weep, weep, weep instead of sleep.
When I am mad and lost too, when I am nothing to the people I love, then I will look at the brothers. When there is nothing left for me in my town. Two stand united together. Two who weep and weep so deep, Two have one reason for being so lost.
