All That I Have
I'm doing my best.
What I'm giving you, is it not enough? Do you want more? Are you not satisfied with what you have, what I've done for you? Well, here's the thing.
What if I have nothing left?
You don't believe me? Fine, go ahead. But you're not getting anything better than what you already have.
This is the best I can do.
Yet you still look at me and shake your head, like you believe I can do more. Like I'm underachieving. What have I done to receive this high expectation? I don't deserve this. I'm nothing special.
I wish I was.
I wish I could give you more, I'm sorry. I wish I could be as great as you make me out to be. If I'm so extraordinary then why do you treat me otherwise?
I don't understand.
I don't know what you want anymore. Maybe I never did. Why can't you be straight forward and just spit it out? I don't want to have to keep guessing all the time.
I want to know.
Tell me what you need from me so I can give you my best. So I don't mad from all this stress. I'll give you my best
And my best is all that I have.
