For Later
My back was pressed against the chain link fence, arms turned up so that the metal wires stung the back of my wrists. If you leaned back, or tilted you head just right, the sky and the land met at an upside down line. Blue ending adruptly with the grass-colored haze. I remembered thinking the horizon could go on forever like that as a little girl. But now was different.
I glanced to the side, and there he was, waiting too. And as he leaned in closer, I knew, I didn't want to save this for later.
