"Are you sure you brought everything," Cheri asked, giving Jason a serious look.

"Yes, Mom. I have everything," he replied to his mother.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, I'm sure. You've asked me about ten times already, now can we go?"

"Fine, as long as you're sure."

"I'm sure, Mom! We're going to miss our plane." Jason looked into his mother's eyes. He could tell moving all the way from New York City, New York to San Diego, California was killing her. "I'll be fine."

Cheri nodded and started the car. She had to let him go, and she knew it. It's not like Jason can teach himself what the college he's about to go to is going to teach him. It was for the best.

Jason got out of the car, said his goodbyes, and disappeared into the crowd. He was going to be a long way from home for the next few years.
