It was very dark outside, the sun had not even got up yet in the city of Pacoima,
California in the year of 1970.

“What did you cook for breakfast?” asked Charles as he walked in the kitchen.
“I cooked you some pancakes”, said his mom as she put the pancakes in his plate.
His mother put the plate on the table and Charles sat down and ate his breakfast.
“What time is it” asked Charles with his mouth stuffed with pancakes.
“It is exactly six o’clock” said his mom.
“I better get going I have to get to the auto repair shop before six thirty” said Charles as he put his plate on the kitchen sink and walked out the door with his lu“bye” said his mom as he got into his 1966 Chevy Impala and drove off.
When he got to the auto repair he got straight into fixing cars. At about lunch time he was making an oil change when a big wrench fell on his foot. Right then he got up and saw that he didn’t get that harmed so he finished the oil change and ate his lunch. After that he went home and checked his foot and saw that nothing happed. After that he ate dinner, played his guitar then went to sleep a few hours later.
The next day he was fixing a car and listening to his favorite artist who was BB. King, when all of a sudden a man in a black suit walked into the shop.
“How may I help you?” asked one of the mechanics.
“I am looking for Charles Arco?” said the man.
“That’s me. What can I do for you?” said Charles.
“I am Carlos Sopprano, I would like to make a deal with you,” said the man.
“What is it?” asked Charles
“I was at a friend’s house when I heard the sound of an electric guitar, right then I knew that the person who was playing the guitar had a very big talent. I asked my friend who was the person playing and he said it was you,” said the man
“And the deal is?” asked Charles
“I would like to record your music, if you would like?” said Carlos
“When should I start?” asked Charles
“On Saturday but first you would have to right a contract with Sound Proof Records, which is the company I work for,” said Carlos
“Perfect, I will start this Saturday. At what time should I be there?” asked Charles
“You can be there by about nine in the morning, here is my card it has my name, address and telephone number on it,” said Carlos
“Nine it is then,” said Charles
“Bye” said Carlos
“Bye” said Charles
On Saturday Charles woke up and went straight to Carlos’s studio because it was already nine forty in morning. When he got to the studio he got straight into recording a song called ‘Marry Me Marry” he spent the whole morning recording the song because of mistakes the bass guitarist made.
“Can you please stop this I am wasting a lot of time because of you!” said Charles in a threatening voice.
“I am very sorry Charles, it’s just that I can’t stay focused on what I am doing,” said Jack.
“Well if you keep this up I will have to look for another bass guitarist,” said Jack.

Two weeks later his song was the most requested on all of the radio stations. Since Charles was beginning to become very popular he knew he needed an artistic name so he changed his name to Chuck Harry. One day Charles was listening to the radio when he heard one of his songs being played, but he realized it was being played by BB King. This made Charles very furious. About three hours later he heard another song being covered by BB King. Since Charles was mad at BB King, he decided to make covers of BB King’s music and began trying to bring BB King’s popularity down.
After a month, Charles got tired of making covers and decided to meet BB King at a café. When BB King got there Charles already had a table for both of them.
“Why did you do that?” asked Charles in a threatening voice.
“Do what?’ asked BB King.
“Why did you make covers of my music?” asked Charles.
“Well sorry if that offended you but, I just liked your music and I decided to play it” said BB King.
“Well I felt very offended. I thought you were trying to challenge me. I am truly sorry I reacted like this,” said Charles.
“Well I was also thinking that maybe we could record an album together next month, if you would like to?” said BB King
“I would love to do it” said Charles
“Outstanding we will record in my studio next month. See you soon” said BB King
The month after that they recorded about 10 songs into the album they were going to record.
“I am so tired” said Charles after they were done recording.

“Me too” said BB King
“But at least we are done with all of this. Guess I’ll just go Home,” said Charles
“See you later,” said BB King.

“Bye” said Charles.

The next day Charles’s manager organized a world tour for Charles and BB King. Their first concert was in Dallas, Texas. Their tour was going great until the plane in which Charles was riding crashed in a desert in Mexico.

“Stop making stuff up, you can’t be playing around like that” said BB King when Charles’s manager told him that Charles had died.

“I’m afraid it’s true,” said Charles’s manager.

BB King didn’t want to believe it. This made him so sad, eventually the tour was canceled. He didn’t even go to the funeral.

“I am not going to funeral, ok” said BB King in a sad voice.

“I am not going to force you” said his manager.

“Why don’t you just leave I want to be alone” said BB King.

A year later he got over Charles’s death and proceeded with his musical career.

what inspired me to write this piece was that I wanted to make a story about someone who has the same dream as me.
