The Lost spy final part
“Director, is it really safe to send the boy home? I know we sent the security team, but if we took him, I guarantee you that Veltro has seen this all been happening, despite our efforts, sir.” Dan had just left the room with Agent Michael and must have passed Agent Falma’s desk already, that must be why she is using the intercom.
“Agent Falma, I'm positive that Alpha Squad and Agent Georgia can perfectly handle the situation of watching over the boy for a NIGHT. After all, I did have them visit the equipment room to pick up some intervention sniper rifles and CQC combat rifles. I'm positive should the need to use them come up, they can handle the situation perfectly fine.” I responded through the comm. Being the director of almost anything is a very hard and endearing task, and that becomes so much more when dealing with a country’s secret service. Being in charge of SEPA for 9 years now, I have seen people come and go. There are very few here left from when i first became director, nevermind when I was recruited. “Not to worry Agent, just finish up the requested document and send it down to Agent Maine. She needs it now, preferably than later.”
“Yes director, I'm almost done with it. Sorry to bother you.” After she said that i heard the intercom on her side shut off. “Time to add another audio entry to the logs.” I flipped a switch, and a camera turned on and a microphone was now listening to me. So I began the log.
“April twenty third, 2009. 1747 hours. We brought in the boy today, and I told him everything he needs to know, even a little bit more. He doesn't seem to trust anyone here, I can already tell. Judging from what he has learned, we need to deploy him soon. At this point in time with his mind working now almost at full capacity attempting to figure out what is going on, it will be the perfect time to insert the Theta AI fragment into his equipment once we gear him up.” I then reached into my desk and pulled out an AI fragment chip. A purple character holographically projected itself using the computer. “This is the Theta AI fragment. Our newest addition to the fragments, Theta is a, different personality, as they all are. Agent North was to get Theta, but Theta requires care and emotion to matine itself. It has the mind similar to a child, and the attitude of a young adult, but is highly matured as all the others.” I looked at Theta, and powered down his chip and put him back in my desk. “Hopefully, the procedure will go fine and all will be well. Most of our agents already know about these fragments, including Geoffrey Ramsey, Daniel's past father. Daniel does not know about these fragments, only because I believe he can't be sent into the field with the knowledge of what he has. I can only hope that either he cooperates as we say, or that he doesn't move when knocked out. This will take place tomorrow. This is Dr. Leonard Church, director of SEPA, signing off.”I think to myself, “ I can only hope this goes as planned....”
“BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP” *BUTTON*. “Another morning, and what a beautiful day it is. Dark clouds, sun blocked out, and a absolutely lovely 65 degrees today, with a high of 71. Better put on your shorts and sunglasses people!” I turned the radio off. That was DJ Pom$3, as he calls himself. Probably the most sarcastic person on the radio in all in Europe. Amy was already long gone, but left the eggs and a few other things out so I could make an omelet. I’m a pretty good cook at most simple and mediocre things, but if you ask me to make a creme blu la, forget it. I have to be at school around 8:00, and it's 3 quarters of a mile away, and it's 6:49 now. “*BLEEP*”. Nevermind, it's 6:50 now. So I made my breakfast, and got ready for school, but when I locked the door and turned towards the street, there was a black car there, and it seemed awfully familiar. Then I recognized it. It was a SEPA vehicle. The door opened, and out stepped Michael and someone else in a suit. “I'm not sure what's going on here, but I'm guessing it involves me skipping school and getting in trouble with Amy, correct?” I spoke to Michael as I crossed the street in his direction.
“Yes. Yes it does Daniel. We have already spoken to your school and to Amy. Everything will be fine.” He spoke back to me. His comrade just looked at me, and then got back in the front seat of the car.
“What's it about this time? I thought we already talked yesterday.” I gave Michael a quizzical look.
“We forgot to tell you yesterday, but we need you now. Today.” He had a very serious look in his eyes. Better not say “no”.
“Okay then, I'll compile.” I knew I had to not ask questions and to just listen to them.
“Very good then Dan, get on in the back seat. We are going back to HQ.” He gestured toward the door. I got in, and he closed the door, and I realized it was obscenely dark. I could barely see outside the windows, except for the front windshield. Except what was weird, when Michael started to back and looked backwards, the front windshield darkened severely, and the back windshield all of a sudden lightened up and light entered through it, and when he put it back into drive, it darkened again and and the front windshield opened light again. Weird! Must have a link with the gear shift so people can't see inside the car when it changes direction, so only the view being used is open! Fascinating! Well, I might as well read my books while I'm here, it's going to be a long trip.
I hope this goes well as the director plans, if Dan fights Theta, he could kill the both of them no problem, and there would be nothing we could do if they don't compute with each other. I glance back in the mirror, Dan has taken out three books and is reading one of them. The last person who fought an AI when trying to insert it was Oklahoma, and he didn't make it out. He was very strong, mentally and psychically. The mind rapture traumatized him, and he died a week after the surgery. The AI is still under repair. Dan is not as strong as Oklahoma, so if he fights Theta.... No. Shove that image out of your head. Theta is not strong enough to do that, and Dan isn't strong enough to fight Theta for long. Hopefully they wear each other out before one can do damage to the other.
“Michael, are we almost there? It seemed to be a shorter trip last time.” I heard Dan’s voice come from the back seat.
“Don't worry Dan, we are almost there.” I replied. Don't freak him out. Oh, we have arrived. “Dan follow me. There is some where I need to take you.”
“Okay Michael, I trust you.”
“Thank you Dan”
