Bullying

It started when I was between the ages of 5 and 11 when my cousins started bullying me. My cousins didn’t always bully me but they did when they had the chance. They would call me names and tase me with a taser they stole from their dad. The names that they called me were nothing you could ever imagine. They told me straight to my face with loud voices “what do you want dumba**?” They made me feel like I was worthless. All I could ever do was get away from them and stay quiet.

One of the things I remember most that they would do to me was chase me down with paintball guns just for fun. Every time a paintball hit me, it felt like someone was hitting me without holding back. When I was older my cousins would remind me of what they did to me by saying “we laughed at you because we shot you in the back with paintball guns, haha”. It made me feel like my cousins had lost all respect for me for no reason.

I learned later that my cousins joined my uncle’s gang. They were jumped badly by the nortenios known as “Lomeros” of Las Lomas. They thought they were bad a***s just for bullying me afterwards. Whenever my parents or family weren’t around they would bully me as much as they could before anyone would see them. They would hit me or torture me before my parents or grandparents would see them. My cousins denied that they bullied me when I asked them they had told me “we denied that we were bullying you because we didn’t want to get caught and get into trouble.”

I would try to stay away from them but either way only places I would be away from them was at home or with my parents. These two places are safest because they would never bother me if I was at home or with my parents. My cousins threatened me if I ever told anyone that they bullied me and I would be bullied more often if I did tell anyone about them.

One day my cousins moved away. I didn’t see them for two years. When I finally saw them again they apologized for what they did to me. They realized that they had gone down the wrong path and what they did to me wasn’t the best choice. ”sorry cousin that we treated you with disrespect its because we never knew what we were doing until now”. They showed me how bad bullying can be and that I should never do it to anyone myself. I am glad my cousins gave me this lesson because now I know what not to do to other people.
