Childlike
I am looking at my little sister, Mickey Mouse clutched in her small arms, with her blonde hair and brown eyes, those amazing brown eyes, gazing with childlike wonder, at the people who loved her indefinitely. And unconditionally, her family, those eyes gazing straight through to her soul, shining bright. Her first teeth were growing in, giving her a childlike smile. She loved and she was loved. She was a child, not yet tainted by the violence and selfishness of adults. She was pure innocence, and that I envied. I kick my shoes off and take her hand. I laugh and smile spinning around and around. Childlike.

Great! Your choice of words really makes the poem flow. Nicely written.
