Tears Tell
The glare of streetlights phase me as I am wandering the town in the midst of the night. The penetrating numbness consumes my body leaving me only with a mind of thoughts. No one near me to speak to, no one close enough to my heart to care enough to listen. Sullen and tear streaked my knees collapsed onto the ground. "Why me? Why did you take this from me? Anything besides this, but not this!" my heart regaining confidence returned from the pit of my stomach. Rambling and sobbing traffic increased with drivers speeding away from me. My worst fear was over-taking my reality. I was unwanted and falling apart as the clock ticked. No one was willing to help and no one was willing to care. After everything was torn from my world, nobody tried to help piece me together. On my own once again.
