Pursuit of Happiness
People can hurt me. They can say what they want. Do what they want.
But in the end, I'll live.
I'll always know that there's more. That there's nothing to be afraid of. The world is a better place only if you make it.
People can talk behind my back. They can say it to my face. Be mean.
But I'll always have friends who love me for who I am.
I'll always know that I'm not the only one. That people have the same problems. Things only get done if you make it.
People can have their opinions. They can judge me or my friends. I'm the one who's going to be important someday.
But for now, I can just listen.
I'll always have my dreams. Something that only I can see. You cant bring me down for wanting to be more.
People can say never. They can deny everything I believe in. Throw my soul into the trash and walk away.
But I'll always have something that's mine. That no one can take away.
I can have dreams and wishes and a overbearing imagination.
I can make lists and wear crazy socks and have the life I want to live.
I can be who I am.
No bully can take away the pursuit of happiness.
