The Afternoon brought Rain.
On that morning, flags were waving, music was playing and the crowd was swarming. There was happiness and hope in everyone’s heart about the new future to come. The bright sun was beating down upon us and reflected against the glass. The handsome, young president walked out. He was wonderful. Everyone held their breath waiting to hear him speak. Then, a deafening shot rang out. His body hit the ground. Silence fell as we stood there in shock. Dark clouds came over and the rain spattered down gently to wash the blood, memory and hope away.
