The Finish
A red core beating crazily,
Loud with the sound of a devout,
Flowing with great intensity,
Hoping it never does give out ,
A sharp pain emerges through
The cavity growing in my chest
A steady rhythm of blood drips
My body becoming overstressed
Working every day,
Dries me out like clay,
My heart-dripping passion to pull.
Becoming all gray and dull.
Sitting here in desperation,
Feeling miscommunication,
Heart goes numb with contemplation,
Death awaits– a destination.
