Fake it till you make it.

Growing up as the only child in a family that struggled to make ends meet, life was anything but easy. My parents poured all their love into me, hoping to provide a better life than they ever had. And while I felt their love, I couldn't escape the harsh reality of our financial situation.

But my parents did everything they could to ensure that I had enough to eat and even ordered milk specifically for me. They believed that it would help me grow taller, despite the poverty that surrounded us. I sipped every last drop of it, unaware that it would soon lead me to a pivotal moment in my life.

One day, while walking down the street, I encountered a girl who had been abandoned by her mother. Her eyes were filled with despair, and the weight of her circumstances was palpable. At that moment, I knew that I had to do something to help. I offered her the milk in my hand, and her face lit up with a smile that melted my heart. From that day on, I made it my mission to provide her with milk whenever I could.

As our bond grew stronger, I began to see her as a symbol of hope and innocence, much like the milk I shared with her. And when I met her again after a few years, I was overjoyed to find that she had been accepted into a prestigious university. Her smile was brighter than ever before, and her happiness was contagious. But what caught me off guard was her shy expression of her desire to be with me. I couldn't believe that the girl I had once helped would want to be with someone like me.

But as we spent more time together, I realized our connection ran deeper than I had ever imagined. She had confided in me during her darkest moments, and in doing so, had unknowingly helped me heal my own wounded soul. Growing up, I had never had anyone to talk to, and she had become my confidant, friend, and support system. And it was because of her that I found the courage to break free from the expectations that had been placed on me.

My parents' strict upbringing had taken its toll on me, and their interference in my life and marriage had become too much to bear. I no longer wanted to fulfill anyone's expectations but my own. I wanted to live life on my own terms. So I dropped out of school, and my parents stopped giving me an allowance, leaving me to fend for myself. It was a scary prospect, but I knew that I had to take control of my own life.

I started working for a relative who sold fish, and it was the beginning of a new life. For the first time, I had the freedom to make my own choices and chart my own path. It was a bittersweet feeling, though, because I knew that I would always be grateful to the girl who had unknowingly helped me heal.

Looking back, I realize that happy people heal their childhood wounds, while unhappy people spend their lives healing those wounds. And it was because of her that I found the strength to heal and become the person I am today. I hope that every child who faces difficulties finds someone like her, who has been through the rain and always wants to hold an umbrella for others. And I hope that every person finds the courage to break free from the expectations that have been placed on them and to live life on their own terms.
