When he praised my drawing, pride filled up my chest like a hot air balloon.

When he finished his piece, I looked over. It was nothing fantastic like what I’ve created. Although close to the real thing in terms of shape and color, without its uniqueness, the drawing was still no more than a flat shape on a flat piece of paper. He seemed to sense it too.

“I wish I could draw better.” He muttered bitterly. My heart sank as quickly as it had risen. If I had not given up my drawing lessons, I thought, I would teach him.
