Swaying back and forth along the shoreline,

a creature mysteriously seeks its prey.

As the waves wash up, the creature dances and glides gracefully,

with his tentacles wrapping around each other.

Mesmerized by the creature, the toddler’s hand 

breaks through the dark water into the crashing waves.

Glowing in the dark, the toddler intensely stares  

at the lifeless entity floating along the current…curious.

In fascination, the little boy frantically waves his hand

trying to catch the neon figure…frustrated.

His tiny fingers feel an object like a water balloon,

slippery, squishy and spongy…excitement builds as he starts to shake.

In amazement, he grasps the slimy transparent creature...

squeezing it, an intense pain shoots through his body like a lightning bolt.

The pain runs through his veins like electricity runs through a live wire.

Sad, shocked and stunned, the little boy’s life changes forever…
