No Love In the Business
“Please no! Don’t hurt my family! They have nothing to do with this!” Jason’s father screamed.
“Well this is what happens when you double cross Me.” the man said.
“Jasy help me!” Jason’s little sister cried.
She crawled over to Jason.
“Please sir, don’t hurt my kids! Take me! Don’t hurt them!” Jason’s mom begged.
“I don’t want you. I just want payback.” the man said, with a devilish smirk.
“Ahhh, please stop!” Jason screamed in agony, as the man kicked him in the stomach.
The man grabbed his sister by her hair and dragged her away from Jason.
“Let my daughter go you sick monster!” Jason’s mom screamed.
The man ran over to her and punched her in the face. Her head hit the cold alley floor. Then you
could see the thick red blood surround her head.
“MOM! Please! MOM!” Jason screamed.
Jason’s sister ran over to her and cried. The man pulled his gun out and shot her.
“Noooooo! Mom, Layla!” Jason sobbed.
Jason’s dad was trying to get loose from the duct tape but the man shot his arm.
“Where do you think you are going?” the man said.
“Dad.” Jason said warningly, as he watched the man walk closer to his dad.
The man pulled his gun out and shot his dad. The man walked over to Jason and said, “I’ll be
waiting for you.”
Jason jumped up from his bed all sweaty. He held his chest tell his breathe slowed down. He
took a deep breath and walked to the window hating the nightmares about his family that was
murdered in front of him. He looked at the blue sky and thought of Annalise. He took out a
picture him and Annalise sitting on the couch embracing each other. All these memories came
flooding back, but got interrupted by the sound of his door knocking.
“Aye Jason!” Alex said.
“Uh yeah?” Jason said, putting the picture back in his pocket.
“Today we don’t have any business to take care of so we are gonna go to the beach.”
Alex said, walking in the room.
“Alright...sounds good.” Jason said wiping the sweat off his forehead.
“Jason...are you having those nightmares still?” Alex said.
“Yeah, but it’s not a big deal.” Jason trailed off.
“Ok well get ready man! We finna turn up!” Alex said, fist pumping the air.
Jason walked to the bathroom and took a shower. After getting dressed he walked downstairs.
“Mornin’ losers!” Jason said.
“You mean afternoon...its 12:43 retard.” Ricky said.
Jason stopped and looked at him.
“Did I ask you?” Jason said.
Ricky rolled his green eyes.
“Where is Alex?” Jason asked.
“Watching the news in the living room.” Danny said.
“Thanks man.” Jason says.
Jason walks to the living room, when something on the news catches his attention.
“Jason McCann, Alex McCann, John Monroe, Ricky Lopez, Jose Noya, Danny and Chris
Alvarez are in the most notorious gang in the United States. They have not been seen and are on
the run. If you see any of these criminals, make sure you contact the police.” The news reporter
said, as they showed all their mug shots and the various gang related tattoos and scars that they
“Well they aren’t gonna find us.” Chris said laughing.
“We gotta be careful though, messing around isn’t gonna help especially with you guys.” Alex
said, eying all the guys.
“Well don’t worry, I made sure any witness or anything tracked to us are taken care of.”
Jose said.
“Well Miami is crowded but we have been disguising ourselves so I think we are good.”
Alex said.
“Well when are we going to go?” Ricky said anxiously.
“Right now.” Alex said.
“Awesome let’s get it!” Chris said.
They all got in their Range Rover and drove to the beach. As they got out, all the girls stared at
them like they were gods.
“Man I miss this.” Danny said, eying all the girls.
“You guys, be careful and we have to stay together.” Alex said.
“Alright well I’m kinda hungry, so I’m going to walk around and see the stores.” Jason
“I will go with you.” John said.
“Alright, where you guys gonna be at?” Jason asked.
“We will be by the board walk.” Alex said.
Jason and John walked to a famous pizza place and found a spot to sit at.
“So how are you feeling Jason?” John asked.
“Ok I mean I’m still having the nightmares....” Jason said sadly.
“Well maybe we can find a way to get rid of them.” John said.
“Man don’t even worry, it’s all good” Jason said reassuringly.
“Ok man.” John said.
As they started eating their pizza, Jason heard a laugh he could never forget. He looked up and
saw the love of his life walk across the street. Jason jumped out of his chair and ran to see her.
“Jason! Where are you going?!” John yelled, while standing up.
Jason ran across the street and stopped. He looks around frantically for her. He turns around and
sees her sitting on a bench reading a book. He stops dead in his tracks and stares at her. He takes
out his phone and takes a picture of her. Jason sits on the bench next to her. She looks up at him
with her hazel eyes.
“Is this seat taken?” Jason asks.
“Oh no you’re fine.” she says with a smile.
“Ok awesome....what you reading?” he asks.
“Oh uhm it’s just a novel...hey don’t I know you?” she asked.
“Yes you do Anna.” He said.
She instantly looked at him.
“Jason?” she asked scared.
“Yes baby girl it’s me!” he said, grabbing her hands.
She started to cry and hold his hands tight.
“Where have you been? I thought you died!” Jason said.
“Alex said you didn’t want me and he let the other gang know about me.” She said looking
down.
“No! I would have never let that happen!” Jason said grabbing her chin.
“Jason I can’t lose you.” She sobbed, holding on to him as tight as she could.
“Give me your number and address.” Jason said.
Anna gave him her number and address as fast as she could so she could hold on to him.
“Anna call me tonight, I will come see you.” Jason said.
“Ok but I can’t the gang is waiting.” Jason said.
“Oh ok well make sure because Jason....I love you.” She said looking into his eyes.
Jason looked at her and said, “Annalise, I love you too.”
Jason got up and walked over to his table.
“Where the hell did you go?” John asked.
“I thought I saw an old friend.” Jason said.
“Well let me know next time because I don’t want to be stranded here freaking out.” John said.
John and Jason walked back to Alex and the gang.
“Hey Jason.” Alex said.
Jason bumped shoulders with Alex and kept walking.
“Wow what’s your problem?” Alex said.
“Don’t even talk to me.” Jason said serious.
“What is your problem? You were fine before you left.” Alex said confused.
Jason walked up to Alex and got in his face.
“You lied about Annalise.” Jason said.
“What are you talking about?” Alex asked.
“Annalise is alive! And don’t lie!” Jason yelled.
The whole gang suddenly looked at them after hearing Annalise’s name. They all started packing
their stuff and walked to the car.
“Jason get in the car.” Alex said.
“I’m not going anywhere with you.” Jason said.
“Jason get in the car so we can talk about this in the car.” Alex said.
Jason and Alex got in the car. Not a single word was said in the car. All you could hear was the
wind blowing against the windows. When they got home everyone walked straight in the house.
“Alex I’m ready to talk.” Jason said.
“Alright.” Alex said.
“What really happened with Annalise?” Jason said.
“She was getting in the way of things, you were getting to close to her. And then our enemies
found out about her.” Alex said.
“Ok and? We could have protected her!” Jason yelled.
“She was causing too many problems Jason!” Alex yelled back.
“But who were you to do that, huh? I love her!” Jason said.
“That was the problem; you don’t fall in love in this kind of business. She was going to
cause so many problems for the whole gang.” Alex said.
“But she was mine! I loved her so much! She made me feel alive again.” Jason said.
“Well I did what I had to do Jason.” Alex said.
“No you didn’t! Annalise was so sweet and innocent! She was good to me and she made
me a better person.” Jason said.
“She made you not want to join the gang.” Alex said.
“No Alex, she made me realize it would be a big mistake. That I was better off being with her.”
Jason said looking away.
“Jason, this is why she was bad. She was a little innocent girl. She didn’t understand how
the world works. She doesn’t understand how we have to earn our part in this world.” Alex said.
“No Alex, you couldn’t be any more wrong,” Jason said.
“Jason I’m done talking to you about this.” Alex said.
Alex walked in the house slamming the door. Jason sighed but then his phone started to ring.
“Hello?” Jason said.
“I have your girl.” a deep voice said.
Jason’s heart started beating rapidly, as he started to worry about Annalise.
“Who is this?” Jason said.
“3947 Sunshine Ave. 8:00p.m.” the man said, before he hung up the phone.
Jason ran in the house.
“Get all the guns and bombs ready now!” Jason screamed.
“What’s going on?” Chris asked.
“Just get everything ready, NOW!” Jason roared.
Everybody ran around getting everything in the van.
“Where do we go?” Jose said.
“Just keep driving!” Jason yelled.
“Bro calm down, what’s going on?” John said.
“They have Annalise.” Jason said.
“Oh, well I have to know where I’m going.” Jose said.
“3947 Sunshine Ave.” Jason said.
“That’s the Sniper’s warehouse.” Ricky said.
“I know.” Jason said.
They stopped in front of the warehouse. It was 8 o’clock so Jason and the gang set up the bombs
around the warehouse. Jason walked in the warehouse.
“Thanks for joining us.” the man said
“Where is she?” Jason said.
“She’s right here.” he said pointing at Annalise on the chair.
Jason’s gang ran in pointing their gun at everyone in the room. All the man’s men pointed their
guns at them too.
“Just give me her and nothing will happen.” Jason said.
“Jason do you remember me?” the man said.
“Am I supposed to?” Jason said.
“I remember the last time I saw you, what did I say again? Oh yeah, I said I’ll be waiting for
you.” he said.
At that moment everything came flooding back to him. Jason ran over to the man full of anger.
He pointed the gun at the man.
“What do you want from me? You’ve taken everything I’ve ever loved! I don’t even
know who you are!” Jason cried out.
“You are just like your father, I knew you would survive. I knew you would come back
and get revenge. That’s why I took Annalise when I found out you were still alive.” he said.
“But why? Don’t you think that I’ve had enough?” Jason asked.
“I want revenge on your father and now it’s on you brother and you.” He said.
“Well it’s over. Me and my gang are going to leave with Annalise and never see you
again.” Jason said, walking over to Annalise. He picked her up and walked behind Alex.
He stopped and looked at Alex.
“Finish them.” Jason said.
Jason walked out of the warehouse with Annalise. All they could hear was gunshots. The gang
ran out to the car. When they got in the car Ricky grabbed this remote and pressed the red button.
All of a sudden the whole warehouse blew in flames. The van took off driving
“I love you Annalise.” Jason said.
“I love you too Jason.” Annalise said.
At that moment, they rode off in the dark night to live a long life in each other’s arms.
