Maleficent's Unspoken Words (Villian Speech)

You fools! Once again, you listen to the story you were told. You paint me as the villain, unaware of the one standing before you. Your darling King is no better than me. He started off as a thief and ended up worse. He is a liar, a traitor. Cutthroat and merciless. We once knew each other, long ago. He visited the sunlit woods often. With the emerald trees as witness, he claimed it was true love. He would whisper in my ears, and then one dark night stole my wings to get a chance to play king. He brought the war to my woods, with soldiers standing up tall, iron weapons raised. He lies, he betrays, all for his personal gain. Is that the type of ruler you look up to? One who will lie to you? Betray you? Bring pain upon kingdoms? One who will forget about you for the sake of himself? If you ask, he will say he wanted to protect his kingdom, but did we ever plan on attacking? Did we even want to attack? All I wanted for the Moors was safety, peace. So, your disgusting kind won’t come and hurt again. Won’t kill again, like you did in the past. All I did was protect my own, as anyone one of you would protect a sniffling child. Yet, no matter how little harm we mean, you keep coming. You keep attacking, hurting the ones we adore. You tore our homes apart, just because we are not the same. You invited all the fairies, but me, the protector of the Moors. No matter my intentions, you look at me the same. Frightful, terror coursing through your veins, hatred. If you look at me as frightening, then I’ll become so. I cursed your sweet princess to fall into slumber, so you can feel my pain. So, you know not to come near the Moors. That I will not rest until safety falls upon my forest. That your precious Aurora shall never return, and no true love’s kiss can save her, for no such thing exists.

I'm doing this for extra credit. It is based on Maleficient's past and the curse she bestowed upon Aurora.
