Butch: a Flash Fiction memoir
I held my book in one hand and my tea in the other hand, retaining the swagger I had adopted from the tomboys and butch girls I'd seen in my life. I knew my mother would hate it, hate how I'm wearing a flannel shirt buttoned up to the top with my curvy jeans. She'd hate how I had adopted "the look" from my neighbor, or that one girl I crushed on in the seventh grade.
But I'm not changing.
